How old is Örebro, exactly?

Sorry. No one knows exactly when Örebro became a town. So how can an anniversary be celebrated? Well, in 1965 the municipal government felt that Örebro needed some recognition in Sweden and, with a little generous interpretation of historical sources, they determined that Örebro was 700 years old. But the town was not exactly 700 years old. Nor is Örebro really 750 years old in 2015. But, almost. Since towns don't have birthdays, the municipal government thought that close was good enough, as most people probably do today.  Just don't say that to a historian.
